If you use the Firefox browser, and you use the "Bookmark Toolbar" then you might really like this nifty trick!

  • 1) Right-click on your Bookmark Toolbar.
  • Paste the code below onto the Bookmark Toolbar.
  • It's going to look ugly at first, e.g. Bookmark will say "javascript:(function)" but don't worry, we are going to change that.
  • Right Click your new bookmark, and go to "Properties"
  • Change the name to anything you want. Then Save.

Now, when you browse a website, for example, we will use an ESPN article "http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=4736848 ... Go to that link, and press your new bookmark!

Presto! It takes out all the images, flash, and converts the article into a very easy to read page right on your web browser! This feature is great for those who read a lot of blogs, or press releases. Heck, it's great for everyone!

Example: Before you click your new toolbar link.

Example: After you click your new toolbar link.

And you can toggle back and forth!
javascript:(function(){readStyle='style-newspaper';readSize='size-large';readMargin='margin-wide';_readability_script=document.createElement('SCRIPT');_readability_script.type='text/javascript';_readability_script.src='http://lab.arc90.com/experiments/readability/js/readability.js?x='+(Math.random());document.getElementsByTagName('head')[0].appendChild(_readability_script);_readability_css=document.createElement('LINK');_readability_css.rel='stylesheet';_readability_css.href='http://lab.arc90.com/experiments/readability/css/readability.css';_readability_css.type='text/css';_readability_css.media='screen';document.getElementsByTagName('head')[0].appendChild(_readability_css);_readability_print_css=document.createElement('LINK');_readability_print_css.rel='stylesheet';_readability_print_css.href='http://lab.arc90.com/experiments/readability/css/readability-print.css';_readability_print_css.media='print';_readability_print_css.type='text/css';document.getElementsByTagName('head')[0].appendChild(_readability_print_css);})();

Just follow the instructions. Right click on your bookmark toolbar on the top of your browser, paste the code, rename the bookmark to something more attractive, and test it. It works like a charm, and really makes website articles easier to read without having to download anything. Its a simple Javascript code that works with some Laboratory website to get this affect. Its really quite cool.
